Comprehensive Exams Day 5 - A tough one
Today was probably my worst and best day all in one. For writing and the experience it was the worst day - I really struggled with how to write the answer to this question, it was poorly worded and even more vague than the other questions. I'm thinking now that I should have done the other option. I have 10.5 pages written but they are not good pages so there will be a LOT of editing.
It was my best day because Micheal came to see me! It was only for a quick minute since I can't really take long breaks. We ran and got dinner and Kuba Kuba (aren't you jealous mom??) and then I headed back to the grind.
Tomorrow is the last day of questions and I will be addressing the ethics question. Then Sunday is the day of editing and reviewing. And thinking to myself.....what in the world was I thinking when I wrote that?!? (Hopefully not...)
Things I learned today:
The block radius around 808 W. Franklin is totally against me - I needed a bottle of Dr P and the student center was closed, the vending machine was sold out and Sahara was closed. I had to walk to the stinkin' book store - ugh.
I like everything in Cheez-it party mix...except Cheez-its.
When you have a very limited amount of time writing about something you don't know as much about is a LOT easier than writing about something you know a lot about.
The listing agent for our house is not answering her phone when our realtor calls...but she does answer her phone when a "prospective buyer" calls... (I wonder how I know that...)
That as the week progresses the "silliness" that was associated with sleep deprivation is turning to outrage at the process.
That several of the things that I left at home because I thought there would be no way in the world I would need them...would have been helpful.
Alright, 12:30 and I'm signing off to edit (hopefully not totally rewrite) the paper I wrote today. Two more days.....
